Thank you so much for scrolling to learn a little bit more about this flannel-wearing animator's story.
I was born and grew up in Northern California spending a lot of time building legos, watching cartoons and dreaming of becoming an engineer. Wait, what!? Yes, that's right, when I graduated from high school I was planning to go into civil engineering. My life changed forever after taking a color theory class my first semester of college. I changed my major to art and transferred to Seattle Pacific University(SPU) to study illustration. I earned a BA in Fine Art from SPU, and I am currently halfway through the Character Animation Program at Animation Mentor.
I am happy to call the Pacific Northwest home. I live near Seattle, Washington with my wife and daughter, and work as a freelance artist.
My work experience as a production designer and now a freelance illustrator has given me a strong understanding of the importance of communication and meeting deadlines, as well as an appreciation for the power of collaboration to create something great as a team. I'm always striving to improve as an artist by practising what I know and seeking answers to what I don't.
If you are looking for an illustrator or have a project that needs an animator I would love to hear about it! Head over to my contact page to find out how you can get in touch.
